Description

This is an early to mid-19th century group of three narrow, white-brick houses on Castle Street. They have a low-pitched gable-end slate roof and an eaves band. Each house has three windows; the second-floor windows are small, two-light casements, while the others are sash windows. The sash windows on numbers 138 and 140 have flush frames, and the glazing bars are intact on number 140. Numbers 138 has a door of flush panels; the other doors are modern. Each door is framed by pilasters supporting an entablature, and they are topped with rectangular two-pane fanlights. Numbers 124 to 128 and 132 to 144, also on Castle Street, form a related group.
