Description
The Medows monuments are located in the churchyard approximately 10 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Nicholas. This chest tomb dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. It features an inset bead moulded table and a moulded base on a plinth. The surrounding railings have been removed. The tomb has fielded side and end panels with concave corners. The table is set at an incline and bears an inscription dedicated to General Sir William Medows, Knight, who died in 1813.
