Description

The gates and overthrow at the entrance to St John's Churchyard from St John's Court are made of square section standards featuring intersecting cast iron tracery. The rails are decorated with poppy seed heads and dog rails. The overthrow has similar tracery to the standards and includes a lantern. The structure was restored in 1957. For information on the gates at the eastern entrance to St John's Churchyard, refer to the listing under Long Street (West Side).
