Description
West Lodge is a lodge to Heywood House, built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a pyramidal Welsh slate roof, with a group of four diagonally-set rendered stacks at the apex. The building has a square plan and is two stories high, with a two-window front that faces the drive. A central hipped porch has a fishscale tiled roof and a semi-circular headed glazed door, with pointed lights on the side walls and an inner ribbed and studded door. There are semi-circular headed casements with Y-glazing bars on either side of the porch, as well as two on the first floor, with pilasters on the sides. The left return has a single leaded casement on the ground floor. There is a single-storey outhouse attached to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
