Description
5 Hawkeridge is a semi-detached cottage dating from 1741, as indicated by the datestone on the front. The building is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features a pantiled roof with a half-hip on the right side and a brick stack on the left. It is two stories high and has two windows. The entrance consists of a five-panelled door located in a lean-to porch to the right of the center. To the right of the door is a top-hung casement window, and to the left is a three-light casement window, both of which have flat arches with keystones. There is a three-brick dentilled plat band at the first floor level, which includes another three-light casement and a top-hung casement. The right side of the building features a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor and a single light attic casement. At the rear, there is an attached conservatory. The interior has not been inspected.
