WARMINSTER POUND STREET (West Side) Nos 24 and 26 (Formerly listed as No 24

2. No 26 is at rear of No 24. C18. 2 storey and attic. Stucco. Old tile roof. 2 hipped dormer casements. Glazing bar sash windows. 5 on 1st floor, the central window semi-circular headed. 4 windows on ground floor, all windows slightly bowed except 1st floor, and with architrave frames. 6 panel central door in arched opening with architrave surround and small keystone. Fanlight of radiating wreathed and curved glazing pattern. Doorcase of rusticated strips, cut console brackets, broken moulded cornice and elaborate moulded and dentilled open pediment. Set back from road with plain rails on curved retaining wall. No 26 is an extension to south-west. Early-mid C19 altered. 2 storeys with half hipped old tile roof. Stuccoed. 2 ranges of late glazed sashes. Screened from road by 8 ft wall of local rubble work extending from railings of No 24 about 10 yds.
