Description
Greystones is a detached house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a tiled roof and features gable end brick stacks. The building is two-storey with three windows. A planked door, which has a dripstone, is located to the left of the centre within a 20th-century stone porch. There is a blocked side-light to the left and a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement on either side of the porch. A string course runs at lintel level. On the first floor, there is a central two-light mullioned casement flanked by two three-light mullioned casements. The eaves were raised in the 19th century and were formerly thatched. The right side of the building has an attached 20th-century flat-roofed extension. The left side features a blocked two-light mullioned casement on both the ground and first floors, each with hoodmoulds. The rear and interior were not accessible during the survey in March 1986.
