Description
Laws Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse that has been converted into a detached cottage. It is constructed from limestone and flint rubble stone, with Flemish bond brick on the left side of the first floor, and features a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks. The building has a gable end facing the road and is two stories high with three windows.
The entrance includes a planked door located in a 20th-century porch on the right, while to the left are two 2-light casements, one of which is in a blocked doorway. A single-storey extension to the right has two 2-light casements. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements. Attached to the left side is a weatherboarded outhouse with a hipped thatched roof.
At the rear, there is a planked door and a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement with a hoodmould, along with three additional 2-light casements. The roof features two eyebrow dormers with 4-light leaded casements and one 20th-century casement. Inside, the farmhouse retains deeply chamfered beams with stepped stops, planked doors, and blocked open fireplaces.
