Description

The Plough is a house that was formerly an inn, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame and painted brick construction, topped with a thatched half-hipped roof, which has a ridge stack and end stacks. The building has one and a half storeys. The left end section is constructed of rubble stone at the bottom and brick above. The front has a three-window range with three triple casements beneath eyebrow arches, a triple casement window, a plank door, a pair of casement windows, a framed plank door, and another triple casement window. The walling is mostly brick, with some exposed timber framing visible at the right end, as well as on the rear and left end wall.
