Description

Barn Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse built in a timber-frame style with plaster panels set on a rubble stone plinth. It features a half-hipped thatch roof with a ridge stack. The building has two storeys and is designed in an L-shape, with an ornamental double-curved angle and tension braces on the front. The facade is double-fronted, showcasing two pairs of casement windows on each floor, along with a central door that is sheltered by a thatched hood. The north end wall, the rear, and the north side of the rear wing display exposed framing, while there are eyebrow dormers on the rear and north side of the wing. The south end wall and the south side of the wing have 20th-century windows and rendered walls.
