Description
Croft Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, featuring stone dressings, and has a slate roof with gabled ends and brick gable-end stacks.
The building has a symmetrical three-bay front that is two storeys high with an attic. It includes flush stone quoins, a plinth, and an unmoulded stringcourse at the first-floor level. The windows are three-light stone mullions, with a single one-light window in the centre on the first floor. The central entrance is framed by a moulded stone doorframe with a stone canopy supported by shaped brackets, leading to a flush-panel door with glazed top panels. To the right, there is a single-storey brick outhouse with a plank door and a six-pane window, and at the rear, there is another single-storey brick outshut.
Inside, the farmhouse features 18th-century joinery, including a staircase with splat balusters and fielded-panel and plank doors.
