Description

These are three cottages located on Lowden, built in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed of Flemish-bond brick with freestone dressings and have a continuous slate roof with brick stacks. Each cottage features a two-window range, with the original two cottages on the left designed as a pair, showcasing bold rusticated quoins, architraves, a platband, and a plinth. The first floors have 6/6-pane sash windows, while the ground floors have 8/8-pane sashes, and there are stacks at the gable ends. Each cottage has a four-panel door, with the left door being glazed at the top, all under hoods with moulded edges supported by moulded stone brackets.

No. 81, which is to the right and built later in the 19th century, is made of English-bond brick and features a vertical joint on the left side. It has a similar style, being one room wide on the ground floor with a double-depth plan and a two-storey rear outshut. The 20th-century door and flat hood are located on the right, with a 6/6-pane sash window above it and 8/8-pane sashes to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
