Description
Pond Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century and 18th century, constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof. It features a coped north gable, a ridge stack at the original south end, and a rear gable with an end wall stack. The building has one and a half to two storeys. The original section includes three coped dormer gables and two-light unmoulded mullion windows. On the ground floor, there is a three-light ovolo-moulded recessed mullion window with a hoodmould to the left, a central six-panel door with a hood on brackets set between two buttresses, and an unmoulded two-light mullion window to the right. The south end has a one-window range added in the 18th century, featuring a plank door in a chamfered flush surround and two-light cyma-moulded flush mullion windows on each floor with small pane sashes.
