Description
Alton Magna Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that was extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a 20th-century tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, designed in an 'L'-shape with five window bays on the front and a central entrance leading to a stair hall, along with a single bay return on the left. There is a 19th-century wing added to the rear of the right bay. The facade includes a plat band and outstepping brick eaves, which return as dentilled eaves on the left side. The entrance door is enclosed in a 20th-century glazed porch with a swept roof. The windows are 20th-century paned in segmental headed openings, although the outer bay openings on the first floor are blocked. The roof features one hipped dormer and gable stacks.
