Description
The building is a former stable located west of 1-2 Lockside Cottages, dating from the early 19th century. It features squared and coursed stone rubble walls with red brick dressings and has a slate roof. The stable is a rectangular block oriented towards the canal towpath and stands two storeys tall, with boxed eaves that have a broad overhang. The roof has a shallow pitch and is hipped at the ends. Access is through the right-hand (east) return elevation, which includes a wide doorway at the south end and a central two-light casement window above. This building is listed for its group value with 1-2 Lockside Cottages.
