Description

This is an 18th-century privy located opposite Old Wardour House on the southwest corner of the bailey walls. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof with a hip at the rear. The building is two stories high, with a ground floor entrance outside the bailey and a first floor entrance within the bailey. The ground floor has a planked door, while the first floor has a chamfered stone door surround with a 19th-century gothic-panelled door and casements on the side walls. The interior was not accessible during the survey in December 1985, but it is reported to retain panelled walls.
