Description

This is a row of three houses located on Silver Street in Corsham, dating to the late 17th century. The houses are constructed of rubble stone with concrete tile roofs, featuring two ridge stacks and a stack at the original north end. They are two storeys high with an attic. The windows are recessed and have ovolo-moulding, each with a hoodmould above. Number 3 has a double-fronted facade, featuring two two-light windows on each floor, and a centrally positioned door, also with a hood supported by brackets. Number 4 has a single-window range of three-light windows, with a door to the right, also with a bracketed hood. Number 5 has a single window range of two-light windows and a door to the right, again with a bracketed hood. A large 20th-century extension has been added to the left side of the row. An attic window with two lights is located on the end wall of number 3.
