Description

Brook Cottage is a late 17th-century house, originally two cottages. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys and an attic, with three bays. A door at the left end has been blocked and replaced by a boarded door positioned off-centre. The windows are four-light, ovolo-moulded timber casements, with a three-light window to the first floor. The windows in the right bay were renewed in the 20th century. The windows have heavy chamfered timber lintels. A central hipped dormer and gable stacks are present. There is a lean-to at the right end.
