Description
Brook House is a house dating from the 18th century and early 19th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has two bays. The central door has been blocked and replaced by a six-panel door with sidelights in the right bay. The windows feature twenty-pane sashes with stone voussoir flat lintels, while the first floor has timber casements. There is a central hipped dormer and gable stacks. At the rear, there is a parallel block that provides a double pile plan. An extension to the right is a single storey and attic, now used as a dining room, featuring a 20-pane sash window. Inside, the left living room includes a marble fire surround and panelled shutters, and there is a bolection moulded fireplace on the first floor.
