Description
The brewhouse to the rear of the Bell Inn was built around 1855 and is constructed of red brick and stone with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and features flush quoins and flush surrounds around its openings. The main range includes large louvred openings, with two on each side and one on the south end wall, which has been altered to a window. There is a two-light window in the south end gable and a ground floor door on the east side. The north end is slightly raised and has a louvred vent on each side, with the roof being slightly higher and featuring a ridge gabled vent, which is now slate-hung but was presumably louvred originally. There is also a two-light window on the east side. A sale poster from 1857 describes the brewery as newly erected.
