Description

Park Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-framed farmhouse with hipped thatched roofs and ridge stacks. It is a large-scale building arranged in an L-shape, with exposed framing throughout and painted brick panels. The main range appears to have been constructed in three phases. The front features heavy square framing on a high rubble plinth, with two casement pairs above and a triple casement with a pair below. To the right, a single-window range has lighter framing and a lower plinth with casement pairs. An ogee brace is visible in the angle of a crosswing to the left, along with two similar braces on the east end wall of the main range, above two casement pairs. The projecting north-east wing has a lobby-entry door in the angle of the west side and north end, exhibiting angle bracing and tension bracing to the upper floor, visible on the north and east sides. The west side of this wing has painted brick below and imitation framing above. The east and west sides have a triple casement below and a four-light casement above.
