Description
Cambria House is a house from the early to mid 18th century, built on an earlier core. It features red brick with decorative black bricks and a hipped Bridgwater tile roof with end stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has a square plan. The formal front includes a raised moulded plinth, black brick quoins, a drip course, and a moulded eaves cornice. There is a three-window range with black brick strips between the windows, featuring 20 panes on each side and 16 panes in the centre of the first floor. The ground floor windows have gauged brick cambered heads. The centre of the front has a segmental-headed six-panel door set in a raised moulded stone surround, topped with a hood supported by brackets. There are three semi-circular steps leading up to the door. The windows may have been enlarged in the late 18th or early 19th century, while the door is likely original to the early to mid 18th century. The rear of the house is irregular, with a south-west gable and a south-east hipped roof.
