Description

Rush Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features a diaper brick elevation with brick-laced flint on the sides and rear, topped by a tiled roof. The building is two stories high and consists of two bays, with narrow service rooms at the rear that are of the same period. The front elevation is symmetrical, featuring a central boarded door. There are three-light leaded casements, with an iron casement in the center light, all having segmental heads. Above the door is an oculus window, known as an oeil de boeuf. The eaves are decorated with brick dentils, and there are gable stacks. To the left, there is a weatherboarded lean-to.
