Description

The summerhouse, dating from the late 17th century, is located in the garden of No. 1A (Cotsdale). It was formerly part of the garden of the Warden's House of Hungerford Almshouses. The structure is built from ashlar and features a stone tiled roof with moulded coping on the gables. It has open fronts to the north and south, which include seats inside, and a moulded cornice that runs around the spine wall and the inner end walls above oval lights. A similar cornice is also present on the outer end walls.
