Description

The Phipps Arms is an early 19th-century public house located on the north-west side of Westbury Leigh. It is a two-storey building constructed of brick with a rendered plinth and features a hipped old tile roof with a stone ridge and flanking chimneys. The building has lean-to wings on either side, which have been modernised and adapted on the left. The first floor has three single-hung glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor features two large tripartite windows, with the central window and two former doors removed for a modern Brewers' Botch. The property is set back from the road, with a small space in front.
