Description
Gable Cottage is a 17th-century cottage featuring a timber-frame structure with painted brick and a corrugated iron roof. It has a cross-gabled main section with a south end stack and a ridge stack on the north wing. The cottage has one and a half storeys. The cross-gabled south end includes a large brick outside stack, a pair of casement windows in the front gable, a door, and a triple casement window below. The framing is square with one angle brace. The range to the right has a canted north end wall and a coped gable, with a brick plinth that has a blocked basement window. Above the plinth, there is timber framing with one pair of casement windows, a full-height boarded opening to the right, and a rubble stone end wall.
