Description

The gate piers and railings at Tytherton House date from around 1830 to 1840. They consist of spearhead iron low railings set on a low rubble stone wall, which encloses the west and north sides of the garden. The gate piers are located at the ends and also at a pedestrian gate on the north side. These piers feature cornices and cross-gabled caps. The gate itself is adorned with a cast-iron ornament in a honeysuckle pattern. This structure is included for its group value.
