Description

Orchard Cottage is a house, now divided into two, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble stone and features a concrete tile roof with end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range of 12-pane sashes, arranged in pairs on each side and a single window in the centre above a 6-panel door set in a flush chamfered surround. There is an added lean-to hood supported by timber brackets and one hipped dormer. The corners of the building have flush quoins. An east end section has been added, which includes a lean-to enclosed porch and a door leading to No 2.
