Description

This building is a former barn, now used as a studio, located to the south-west of Prater's Farmhouse. It dates back to the 17th century but has undergone extensive restoration in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, concrete lintels, and a gabled concrete tile roof. It has a cruciform plan with midstreys on the east and west sides. The west facade features 20th-century casement windows, while the east facade has 3 and 4-light 20th-century mullioned windows. There are two-leaf plank gates at the entrance to the east midstrey. This building is included mainly for its group value with Prater's Farmhouse.
