Description
The barn and cowshed at Lower Bridmore Farm is an L-shaped structure dating from the 18th century. It features a rubble stone plinth with weatherboarding on a timber frame, topped with a roof that combines tiles and corrugated iron, having a half-hip on the north side and a hip on the south side. The barn consists of six bays and includes an east aisle, while the cowshed, which is attached at the southeast end, has four bays. On the east side of the barn, there is a gabled porch, a stable door, and a two-light casement window to the right. The cowshed also has a stable door and a 20th-century open-fronted shelter shed on its south side. Both structures have tie-beam roofs supported by raking struts to the principals, collars, and curved bracing to the jowled main posts. Additionally, there is a weatherboarded stable attached to the north gable of the barn.
