Description

The front boundary wall and gate piers to the right of Ashton House are likely from the 18th century and were restored in the 20th century. The walls are made of coursed rubble stone and feature pitched stone coping, rising up over a planked door on the left. The gate piers have chamfered rustication and are topped with moulded cappings that support ball finials with spiral scalloping.
