Description
Rose and Crown Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the early 18th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick nogging set on a rubble stone plinth, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has gable end brick stacks; the right-hand stack is an addition. The cottage is two storeys high with two windows. The central entrance has a ribbed door, with a two-light casement window to the right and a three-light casement to the left. On the first floor, there are a three-light and a two-light casement window. The left return wall is made of dressed limestone. At the rear, there is a 19th-century parallel range constructed in English garden wall bond brick. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered beams. This building was formerly known as the Rose and Crown inn.
