Description

The Blind House is a lock-up building, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and has an octagonal shape. The structure features a chamfered plinth and a planked door with strap hinges located on the north side. There is a plat band that leads to a domed octagonal roof, which is topped with a ball finial at the apex. This building is a well-preserved example of a Wiltshire blind house and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Wiltshire No 251.
