Description

No. 36 High Street is a cottage located in Steeple Ashton, originally built in the 16th century and rebuilt in the late 18th century. The exterior features rendered timber-framing and a double Roman tiled roof, with brick stacks on the left and at the rear. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows. The central door consists of six fielded panels, with a 16-pane sash window on either side. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements. At the rear, there is a single-storey hipped extension with leaded casements. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in February 1987.
