HEYTESBURY - ST 94 SW 4/50 West Hill Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19. Limestone ashlar, concrete tiled roof, formerly Welsh slate hipped roof, ashlar stacks with moulded cappings. 'L'-plan. Two storey, 3-windowed; sashes. Central 4- panelled half-glazed door in classical porch with semi-circular arched openings with keystones, either side is 12-pane sash in eared architrave with moulded sill. Plat band and corner pilasters, first floor has three 12-pane sashes in plain architraves with moulded sills. Right return has one sash to ground floor and three to first floor. Left return has square bay with sashes, four sashes and planked door to left, first floor has five sashes. Rear has 2-light casements. Interior has 4-panelled doors in moulded architraves, stairs with two stick balusters per tread, wreathed and moulded handrail, plain marble fireplace in room to right, plaster ceilings cornices and window shutters. Built for Heytesbury Estate.
