Description

East Hill Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built in English garden wall bond brick, featuring a tiled hipped roof and brick stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and is two storeys high with three windows on the front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped with a wooden hood supported by chamfered posts and pilasters. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows with cambered arches. The first floor also has three 16-pane sashes, each with cambered arches. At the rear, there is a parallel range and a two-storey wing that includes two-light casements and half-glazed doors. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1985. The farmhouse was built for the Heytesbury Estate.
