Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1840. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with chamfered quoins and features a Welsh slate hipped roof with ashlar stacks that have moulded cappings. The building is designed in an L-plan and is two stories high with a three-window south front. A central Doric portico with inserted glazing leads to a four-panelled inner door, flanked by tripartite 12-pane sash windows on either side. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows.
On the right side, there are two tripartite sashes on the ground floor and two 16-pane sashes on the first floor. The left side has an attached two-storey service wing, which includes 2-light flush mullioned casements, sashes, and planked doors. The rear of the house features a canted bay with sashes on the left, a glazed door on the right, and additional sashes on the first floor.
Inside, the farmhouse retains many original features, including stairs with stick balusters, four-panelled doors in panelled reveals, and moulded architraves. The kitchen in the wing has a large open fireplace with chamfered stone jambs and a depressed arched lintel, along with a flagstone floor.
