Description

This is an 18th and 19th century barn and stable range located to the east of South Bank Farmhouse. The barn, situated to the east, dates to the late 18th century and is constructed of rubble stone with a roof of stone tiles. It features opposed cart entries and a hipped roof to the south, with a lean-to addition to the north. The barn has a 5-bay collar-and-tie-beam roof structure. Attached to the east is an ā€˜L’ shaped range of stalls, with roofing of Bridgwater tiles and stone tiles. A stable situated to the west of the barn has a two-storey south front built of grey rubble stone with Bath stone dressings, likely dating to the 19th century. This front features three upper windows, an external staircase leading to an upper door, and two stables below.
