Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century, with a rebuild in the late 18th century and early 19th century additions. It is constructed of dressed limestone, with the 19th-century wing featuring brick bands, a tiled roof, and ashlar and brick stacks. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with three windows, all fitted with sash windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a moulded stone architrave, accompanied by a cast-iron porch. Flanking the door are a pair of 12-pane sash windows, also in moulded architraves with a central mullion. There is a plat band at the first floor level, with a central sash window and a pair of sash windows on either side, similar to those on the ground floor. The farmhouse features rusticated chamfered quoins. On the left side, there is a large external stone stack with offsets, and some early brickwork can be seen at the plinth. The rear wing has two 4-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in July 1985.
