Description

Ashton Mills is a mid-19th century building constructed from coursed dressed stone on a stepped plinth. It stands five storeys tall and features a hoist tower at the north-west corner. The building has eight by four ranges of segmental headed windows, with each storey slightly set back and wall buttresses extending up to the fourth floor. A block modillion eaves cornice adorns the top, and the roof is a double ridged hipped slate design.
