Description

The Stalls outbuilding, located north-east of Dance House in Cricklade, is a cow shed or skeeling built after 1814. It is constructed from limestone rubble, with the south gable featuring weatherboarding and a slate roof. The west side is open and consists of about 12 bays, supported by 10 stone columns that originally held up the Old Market House, which dates back to 1569. These columns are plain and diminish in size towards the top, resting on bases and topped with plain chamfered caps.
