Description

Greystones is an 18th-century house located on the north side of The Forty in Cricklade. It is constructed of brick with a thatched roof. The original portion is a single storey and attic, with three bays. A long brick extension exists to the east, covered with a stone slate roof, alongside a further extension to the east. A door is situated within the eastern extension. The ground floor has three windows of varying sizes, fitted with 20th-century casements. The upper floor is lit by three dormers hidden beneath a sweeping thatched roof. As of May 1985, Greystones was the only thatched property remaining in Cricklade.
