Description
The white monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Sampson is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It features a moulded table and base, with recessed corner balusters that have decorative elements. The monument displays good lettering and inscriptions commemorating JONATHAN WHITE, who died in 1791, his son ROBERT, who died in 1821, and his wife MARY. There is also light relief decoration surrounding the inscriptions.
