Description
Two cottages, now combined into one house, were built in the 17th and 18th centuries. The construction is of colourwashed chalkstone and sarsen with a thatched roof. The house is one storey high with an attic. Originally two narrow bays, it has been extended with a rebuild of a west outbuilding. A 20th-century conservatory provides access to the rear of the property. The windows are timber casement windows with segmental brick heads; late 20th-century windows are found in the gables. The half-hipped roof features a central stack and three flush dormers to the front, one to the rear, and a second dormer added around 1980. A stack on the left gable was removed around 1980, when the interior was remodelled.
