Description

The stables east of King Hall date from the 18th century and feature diaper brickwork with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of six bays, with the central two bays set forward and having arched openings that have been converted to accommodate garage doors. There are timber paned windows in the flanking bays, each topped with cambered brick arches. The eaves are moulded brick, and the roof is hipped. At the rear, there are small windows on the ground floor only, along with an attic door at one end. The block is extended by two bays at the south end, which were added in the 19th century.
