Description

These 18th-century gate piers and gates form an entrance to King Hall. The gate piers are constructed of finely rubbed brick, 27 inches in height, with joints set in lime putty. They have moulded limestone bases and caps. The caps support strongly moulded urn finials. The wrought-iron gates feature low dog rails, a central rail decorated with fleurs, and a scrolled overthrow.
