Description

Westering House is a house located on the east side of The Street in Milton Lilbourne, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays, with a later addition from the 19th to early 20th century on the right and an extension on the left that has been further extended to serve as a garage.

The central entrance features a six-panelled door leading to a through hall, topped by a 4-light fanlight and a bracketed flat canopy. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes with moulded frames and keystones set in gauged brick lintels. The eaves are boxed, and there are gable stacks. The added bay on the right has a two-storey canted and gabled design with plate glass sashes. The left extension, dating from the mid-20th century, is notable for its pattern of vitrified headers and a slate roof.

In front of the house, there is a forecourt against the road, which includes a railed area and a raised pavement made of sarsen pebbles.
