Description
Number 26 in Market Place is a building from the 19th century with a tall, two-storey structure made of painted brick. The gable features coping and a modillion cornice. On the first floor, there is a large plate glass window set in a flush frame. The ground floor showcases a mid-19th century shop front, which includes a two-light window with a thin mullion and cambered heads above the lights, as well as a glazed and panelled door with a side light. This is all framed by pilasters and topped with a frieze and a shallow coved cornice. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 25 to 32 and the Market Hall.
