Description
1 Newtown is a 17th-century building that has undergone later alterations and restoration. It features coursed rubble stonework and a stone-tiled roof with three small coped gables topped with saddle stones. The building is two stories tall and has four windows on the first floor, which include small sash windows and one large sash window above the entrance. There are two blocked openings on the ground floor. The central entrance consists of double panelled doors set within a semi-circular headed opening, complete with an arched fanlight above. A weathered string course runs at floor level.
This property is part of a group that includes Priory Lodge with its boundary walls, the Priory Barn, and Nos 1A to 3, which are all consecutive.
