Description
The Waterworks Pumphouse is a Grade II listed building located in Grafton, built in 1899 for private waterworks. It is constructed of red brick in header bond and has a circular plan with offsetting top and bottom courses. The structure features a brick dome, which has expressed headers and a crenellated terminal. The doors are boarded and also curved in plan, fitted with cast iron hinges. A dedication stone inscribed in Gothic majuscules reads: "WEXCOMBE WATERWORKS. THE GIFT OF WILLIAM CORBIN FINCH AD 1899." The reservoir at the rear is not included in the listing.
